Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison review

Christian Dior is one big hell of a high end brand,creating luxurious clothing, beauty products & fragrance range.I have never smelled Poison actually so I have no idea about the first one in the line.I happen to test Dior Hypnotic poison when I got samples of it with some other purchases.

The name suggests its some kind of a dark scent but I think its the other way round.Its an oriental vanilla perfume,launched in 1998.

It has notes of coconut,plum and apricot,with jasmine, tuberose, lily of the valley,rose,caraway and Brazilian wood,and sandalwood ,almond ,vanilla and musk are in base.

I find this perfume to be very comforting,soft smooth and warm.I can see myself wearing this on a cold day and it has this sweet vanillic warmth that wraps me with love.
I get wafts of vanilla and coconut and almond with other notes singing in the background.Vanilla is definitely the star of the show.It sure is addictive an intoxicating fragrance indeed.Feels like a vanilla chocolate dessert of somekind hmmm yumm!!!

Its an adorable deep vanilla scent and very very long lasting.I actually sprayed in on my wrist when I was really tense and sleepless and it sort of calmed me and soothed my senses.If you like vanilla scents,this one is spot on but the price is too over the top,after all its by Dior.
Lancome Hypnose is also a vanilla scent and in lesser price category Avon's Eternal Magic is an ok vanilla scent or Coty's all time favourite Vanilla Fields.I am not a die hard vanilla fan so I wont be buying a big bottle any time soon.Will write more till then,ciao...
